Anonymous live streaming: what “no account” really means

On LiveSnap.tv you can broadcast and watch without registering, without giving a name and without an email address. That makes it easy to join, but it is not the same as untraceable. This page explains exactly what is and is not collected.

What you can do without an account

Posting in the chat requires a free account.

What is not required

LiveSnap.tv does not ask guests for an email address, a phone number, a name or payment details, and there is no app to install. You open the page, allow the camera, and take the stage.

What is still processed

No account does not mean no data. According to the privacy policy, the service processes technical data even for guests:

The picture and sound of a broadcast are not recorded. The controller of this data is Dartford Trading Ltd, and the privacy policy lists your rights and the contact address.

Anonymous access is not a licence for abuse

Because joining is easy, the rules are enforced by the service and by viewers. Only adults may broadcast. The Terms of Service forbid, among other things, sexual content and nudity, depictions of minors in a sexual context, violence and cruelty, incitement to hatred, filming people who do not know they are being filmed, and spam or scams.

Any viewer can report a broadcast with one tap. By default two independent reports stop it immediately, and repeated reports lead to a temporary block. The operator can also stop a broadcast and block a broadcaster without a report, and may pass data to public authorities where the law requires it. You can also report content through the abuse reporting page.

When an account makes sense

An account is optional. It gives you a reserved broadcaster name, statistics, a guaranteed slot of 600 seconds instead of 60, and the ability to post in the chat. It also means the service stores your email address, display name and a password hash until you delete the account.

Practical tips to protect your privacy

Frequently asked questions

Can LiveSnap.tv identify me if I broadcast as a guest?

The service stores technical data such as your IP address and a guest cookie for the periods described in the privacy policy. Guests are not asked for a name or email, but the service is not designed to make anyone untraceable.

Do I have to prove my age?

The service does not check a document. Before your first broadcast you declare that you are at least 18 and accept the Terms. A false declaration breaches the Terms.

Is anonymous streaming free?

Yes. Using the service is currently free. The operator may introduce charges for slot reservations and extra time, with advance notice.

Can I delete my data?

You can ask for access, correction or erasure at the contact address in the privacy policy. Because guests have no account, a request is hard to link to earlier activity if you have deleted the guest cookie.
